RIMS Group Membership Program

Program Description

The Rhode Island Medical Society (RIMS) offers practices or professional organized medicine organizations with five or more members a flat dues rate of $450 for every physician no matter what their member category is/would be with RIMS. This is a discount of $100 off of Full Active membership ($550) in RIMS!

Every physician member will enjoy the benefits of Full Active membership in RIMS, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Advocacy in the Rhode Island community (Includes but is not limited to the advocating for legislative affairs, regulatory matters, insurance carrier issues, Physician Health Program, etc.)
  • Updates on important Rhode Island and national medicine developments
  • Rhode Island Medical Journal (monthly e-publication)
  • Rhode Island Medical News (the official membership newsletter)

One dues invoice will be given to the practice/organization’s accounts payable for the entire physician roster. Therefore, this program will reduce the practice/organization’s staff time in collecting/issuing payment of numerous invoices and investigating individual physician’s possible membership categories, as each physician is categorized the same.

In this 100% participation dues discount program, the practice or professional organized medicine organization must commit to enrolling the entire practice/organization’s physicians into the Rhode Island Medical Society (RIMS). An accounting of the practice/organization’s physician roster will be issued in September of each year. If a potential member happens to be a physician assistant, the dues rate will be reduced to $60. The practice is not required to have all physician assistants as members, only interested individuals.
